Aimed at pupils in Years 2 and 3, Times Tables Tests 1 features 24 single-page tests covering the 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 10 times tables. The short tests increase in difficulty over the course of the book and follow a consistent three-part format, comprising:

Part A – includes illustrations to help pupils understand the ideas of multiplication
Part B – introduces mathematical notation so that pupils become familiar with signs, symbols and simple maths words
Part C – tests pupils on word problems, allowing them to apply their knowledge of times tables facts and related division facts in real-life contexts.
